I heard from the head of Yokohama Christian School/Yokohama Union Church
that there will be an international school called Akiya-Hayama International School in 2028 or 2029.
They have recruited a principal and some other teachers from St. Maur International School and becoming a threat to the other international schools.
St. Maur incident
reminded me of a principal in Makahari International School whom Beyondia International CEO had a chance of meeting at their school and was a principal of St. Maur middle school for 6 years before becoming a principal of Makuhari International. One of the leading teachers at the Horizon International School whom I think is a good teacher and helped the Horizon International School and previous Shinagawa International School to be successful international schools was a mathematics/science teacher for many years at St. Maur. I am not really sure why St. Maur International School is a good place to recruit good teachers, but I guess it is a discipline education you learn and acquire in the strict style Catholic schools like Eiko, Futaba, Sacred Heart, Gyosei, or St. Joseph College make a disciplined teacher which the society wants. St. Joseph College provided good teachers to ASIJ, YIS and other schools so as Gyosei Kokusai. I think the major reason is the pay of Christian international schools are far cheaper compared to others.
I have read about Akiya-Hayama International School in Nikkei several months ago as an ICHIJOUKOU dorm facility sponsored by a Gakkouhoujin and a Fund and will start an international school in a beautiful Hayama/Yokosuka Nagai area near prefectural research dorm facility area. Asuka Sensei of Beyondia International principal at that time asked me where can you get the teachers and students in such a remote place and I remember answering that it is very easy to recruit housewives from Yokosuka base and I mentioned that the reason they are building it is for Mr. Koizumi family and well to do people in Hayama-Kamakura-Tokyo area.
