This is a picture of Meisei high school, Osaka played soccer in St. Joseph College ground with SJC soccer team. Meisei was the Japanese Champion in that year. Both schools were under the Catholic Society of Mary and traditionally good at soccer. SJC teacher and coach at that time was Brother Zaballa, SM, former Spanish National team member. Remember Spain was under Franco and just right after the civil war and many good people joined the Order went to mission to Japan suffering hard time right after the war.
This picture came with an email from Senpais asking us to join Over 60 over 70 soccer games next year. Many of them are now living in Germany and the USA but will come to Yokohama to play soccer.
