September 21, 2022 The Only Aquarium in an elementary school in Japan

Only Aquarium in an elementary school in Japan.
The reason is Makado was one of the few schools with their own beach next to
Sankei En in Yokohama. Makado and SannoTani used to be a wealthy residential area
with beaches right next to their houses with Tram (street cars) nearby even in American
occupation days, but destroyed by one of the largest oil refineries in Asia built in 1960's.
To compensate with the destroyed beaches, Yokohama government had sea water carried with pipes
to Makado elementary school to have the Aquarium.
