Her Royal Majesty the British Embassy Tokyo
Farewell to Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
I took MinatoMirai & Tokyu Toyoko lines to Shibuya and changed to Hanzoumon line to Hanzoumon.
I walked to the huge embassy standing there from the time of Meiji as a Emperor Meiji's gift to the British Empire,
very soon it will retrench to a modern style office.
I was in a long queue to the gate and accidentally I met IT embassy officer whom I had met on the last Sunday mass with the ambassador at Christ Church in Yokohama.
Seeing me at the gate he took me to inside the embassy and escorted to a VIP room to sign a message to the Queen's family. (My daughter, Mary, said that signature book will be sent to London while the regular ones will remain in Tokyo Embassy.)
The whole thing I felt there was the dignity and class today, and the feeling of Noblesse Oblige
of the British embassy staff and Royal British Army/Navy.
