Support 21
to Keio University
Some thoughts on Refugee issues:
Support 21 is one of the major organizations in Japan to support Refugees in Japan.
Ukraine issue is rather well known in the world, but they have a long history with refugees from Southeast Asia, especially with Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar.
My Red Cross friend from the university days went together to Paralympic in Israel is now the president of the organization. I asked her about our Gifu Unuma building to be used for the refugees. She suggested to contact Nagoya area refugee center under Mr. Hitomi, professor of Nagoya Gakuin University now in Musashi University, expert in Nagoya area refugee support movement.
I asked to observe and participate in teaching the second generation of refugees which they are big in.
She mentioned that EIKEN teaching is ideal for them to acquire both English skills with license and also to help them for JUKEN, entrance examination to colleges where many of them receive scholarships from the Japanese company owners who are providing them scholarships.
