Dear Students and Friends
I have traveled to Takanawa near Friend Gakuen and Keio in Mita for about five years.
In this busy days it is very hard to travel all the way from Yokohama to Sengakuji/Takanawa
on Sundays to attend Silence meeting of one hour but it is worth while to meet Mr. Hewitt and learn that Dr. Nitobe Inazou was the member and share his thoughts.
Today I received the FB notice from the British Quakers about their Kindertransport of Jewish children in 1938 to 1939 from Berlin to London of 10,000 children being saved by the action of the Quakers. Remember out of 6 million killed by Nazi, 1.2 million were children.
I am proud to becoming one of them but fill a heavy sense of responsibility.

Mr. Hewitt is moving to New York, but hope him best wishes. He was a Quaker and I am proud of meeting him here on the hill of Takanawa.
